Our substrates come fully hydrated and ready to use. When setting up your enclosure, lightly compact the lower layers before adding a looser top layer. This helps the base retain moisture and support stable burrows, while the drier upper layer helps lock in essential humidity below. For a more naturalistic finish, pair with HabiStat Leaf Litter
